200 hours’ Foundation Yoga Diploma and 300 hours’ Advanced Yoga Diploma for a total of 500 hours
Since we strongly believe that it takes some time and commitment to mature into a yoga teacher, we do not offer “fast-track” training: the basic 200 hours’ certificate takes 8 months to complete, and the additional 300 hours leading to the 500 hours’ diploma takes another 10 months. We consider this as the strict minimum to allow growth and evolution.
Next Courses in 2019 and 2020:
There will be NO 2019 intake for the Foundation Course, the next intake will be September 2020. The next Advanced Diploma Course will start on September 11, 2019. Please take the time to read the entire brochure to understand its depth and breadth, as most of your questions will probably be answered there.
The Advanced Course is open to those who have completed the Foundation Course. If you are a yoga instructor with a diploma in another yoga tradition, there is a possibility to join this batch by doing a Bridging Course in August 2019. We take a maximum of 8 participants.
Our courses are structured so that each time you take a new step, it is followed by a period of consolidation. Besides postures and their modifications, we dive into topics as varied as the practical philosophy of the Yoga-Sūtra, technical aspects of course planning, teaching methodology, several applied prānāyāma techniques, anatomy and physiology in the context of yoga, the theory and practice of meditation, class observation, supervised teaching, and more. Of course, mentoring and personal practice are a cornerstone of this growth process.
We also offer post-graduate workshops for teachers who wish to continue their studies. These courses are registered with the Yoga Alliance as Continuing Education Units. Here are a few examples of courses we taught in the past or will introduce in the future:
The Hatha-Yoga-Pradīpikā: study of chapters I, II and III (verse by verse)
Yoga-Sūtra: detailed study of chapters III and IV (sūtra by sūtra)
The Thread of Yoga: Yoga-Sūtra, thematic study of chapters I and II
The Art of Breathing: a prānāyāma course
In or Out? The fifth limb of yoga
Cakras and the subtle anatomy of yoga
